These guitars are junk and a complete waste of resources . . . they may even discourage potential guitarists from playing because they are so difficult to play. If you are a budding young guitarist, spend the extra $150-$200 to get a decent playable guitar, you will be saving money in the long run. My wife bought this guitar for me(the black one) a few years back, i have always been somewhat musically inclined, so when I actually purchased a decent guitar and felt the immediate difference, i was P.O.’ed that she even wasted the $40 or so that she spent on this one, through no fault of her own. Some specific gripes i have are very important ones: the fretboard is garbage and the neck flexes quite a bit which is far from a good thing. Some would say, “What do you expect for a $45 guitar?” to which I’d reply, Why waste the labor and materials and fuel and productivity for an utterly inferior product? You shouldn’t, so do the right thing and drop another $35 and at least get the $79(sale-$99)acoustic guitar offered here on amazon or as i previously stated “invest” in a decent guitar for $200-$300, even if you don’t continue playing you can at least resell that one and make most of your money back.

Absolutely super full-size guitar – I bought it for my niece who expressed an interest in learning how to play. As she is a teenager, I didn’t want to make a substantial investment in something she may loose interest in (did I mention she’s a teenager?). For the price, it’s quite well made and good looking; the included CD was a real bonus. Well, she was over the moon when she opened it, and rumor has it, she’s been using the CD to learn the basics. If she sticks with it, she (or someone else) can buy the $400 guitar down the line. For the money, it made her very happy, and if her interest doesn’t last beyond the summer, it was worth the small investment and for that, I am happy, too.

I ordered this guitar as a present for my dad. It arrived in 3 days, perfectly packaged. It is an amazing guitar for the price, nice looking and good sound.

I purchased this guitar for my 12 year old daughter for Christmas, It’s very nice. I couldn’t ask for more for the price and the sounds is nice. As far as tune and strings- I don’t know that much about them to review them. Overall I am very happy with this guitar and think it’s a great starter guitar for anyone looking to dabble into strings.

I’ve been using and recommending Valencia guitars for about five years now. They are amazing guitars for a beginner or as a second guitar you don’t mind getting bumped a bit. I’m a professional musician and teacher and as such I’ve had a chance to see quite a few of these guitars as many of my students have purchased them and I have not come across a dud yet. They hold tuning well, are easy to play and have a lovely sound – I have played many more expensive guitars that do not sound as good as these Valencias. I’ve played 1/2 size, 3/4 size and full size and all are eminently playable. I am particularly fussy about sound and tuning and these guitars measure up and then some. Highly recommended.
