Got this beauty for my partner’s 50th birthday. Nice little package, all around.

Shipping was very efficient– easy to track, as we were watching for the package during a spate of bad weather.

For the money, it is NICE!

I have a few guitars, but this is my first 12 string. It is very well made, and plays with ease. The look and finish are beautiful, and the voice is lush and ringing. There are tuning options with a 12 string, as with any guitar, and tuning open for finger-style work has been rewarding with this Rogue. Quality strings, good set-up, well protected in it’s shipping. I am pleased.

I’m really dissapointed with this guitar. I just bought it and after 3 days of being tuned the bridge cracked completely. Sound was nice but for using the guitar only during 3 days, it’s non acceptable. I made sure that string were not overstressed and tuned with electronic tuner having just the top 3 sets of strings (D,A,E) tuned an octave apart (The G was tuned in the same octave) to avoid stress on the guitar. But even with that, the bridge cracked. The wood on the bridge is not rosewood but a low quality wood, that was the cause of the damage.

My husband is a long time guitar player, and honestly I wasn’t sure if he would like this (because it was so cheap I thought it might not be any good) but he can’t stop playing it or showing it off and he’s purchasing another rogue. It’s awesome for the money not one complaint

After we discovered Rogue instruments, I bought this guitar for my husband as a surprise, since he had started talking about buying a twelve string. Had I left it to him, he would have hemmed and hawed for ages and still wouldn’t bite the bullet and do the purchase. We have several guitars, and he doesn’t play professionally (although he’s good enough), so he looked at it as a luxury item– not a necessity.

Because we have several Rogue guitars and a mandolin already, I decided to buy this twelve string. If it was bad, we’d send it back, I figured. But, I had confidence that this would be great since I read all the reviews on Musician’s Friend’s website.

Well, we are both just extremely happy with this guitar. The sound is beautiful and nobody can believe it cost less than $100. It sounds full and rich. The finish is gorgeous. It stays in tune. Action is low. It’s just a great guitar. My husband’s favorite guitar is an expensive Gibson. However, he’s been playing this one almost exclusively.

I have bought several instruments from Musician’s Friend and several Rogue instruments, as well. All of these Rogue instruments are of excellent quality. We have an acoustic dreadnought, a 12 string dreadnought, and this concert size acoustic electric, as well as a mandolin.

For those of you looking for a beginning instrument or a second instrument, definitely look at Rogues. We are so impressed with everything we’ve received from both Musician’s Friend, and its “house brand”, Rogue.

Rogue instruments do not have a wide varying price range. The highest priced instrument doesn’t go over a couple of hundred dollars. So, when you spend only $100 on something, they aren’t cutting a lot of corners from their highest-end models. Conversely, if you buy a starter Epiphone package or some other well-respected company’s starter pack, they cut a lot of corners from their highest-end guitars/stringed instruments. If a company makes a guitar that retails over a few thousand dollars, or even if the average selling price is $500, they are going to cut a lot of corners to make a guitar (or mandolin) priced at under $100.

With the Rogue instruments, this just isn’t an issue. Want a twelve string? Only a bit over a hundred and sounds great! Want a mandolin? Nothing is stopping you at under $50. And, you really won’t be disappointed, either. Even if you have to lower the action or pay for a professional setup, you still come way out ahead.

We have very expensive instruments in our house and we have these Rogues. The Rogues feel and sound as if they are $400 instruments. Some people keep saying that these don’t sound like a $500 guitar, but they don’t care and are still pleased because it only cost them $100. The truth is, our Rogue guitars DO sound like a $400 or $500 guitar. Maybe they all don’t and we just lucked out, but we love our Rogue guitars and our Rogue mandolin. No comparison to the lower priced famous brand guitars I looked at. This one will last for years.
