This is great! We purchased this for our daughter’s 15th birthday when she learned to play guitar as part of one of her school classes. It has a very nice sound, which isn’t what we were expecting…for the $14 we thought we were going to get little more than a glorified ukele…but it sounds like a regular sized guitar. Our daughter takes it to the cabin on the weekends and wanted to take it to GA this summer but new airline regulations limited her carryons. It comes with a program so you can use your computers microphone to tune it to exact pitch, this program is well worth the money alone!! Our only problem is the nylon strings. Because nylon guitars are made differently than steel guitars we won’t be able to switch strings, but while the nylon strings are easier on the fingers they do not hold pitch very well so everytime she plays we have to retune the guitar. The steel string & the newer nylon string versions both cost about $115 last I checked–but they play BEAUTIFULLY!!

I play a Godin guitar, and needed a light travel number to use when I’m away. The Washburn Rover seemed the best option, great case, extra stuff and a good build quality. When it arrived i got a shock, the stench from this nightmare hung in my flat days after I took it back. The smell is obnoxious and clings to your hands and clothes, giving them an acrid honk that ruined my enjoyment of this product. The laquers used are obviously not fully cured before it gets packed and this just isn’t acceptable in this day and age. The stench is embewed into the case so anything you put in there also gets contaminated. My advice is side step this smelly sub-standard joke, and buy the Ozark 3330, which is a great travel guitar and worth the extra cash.

What a great instrument! For sound this compares very well to my full size Fender. Gives a lot of those old country songs a fuller, more vibrant sound. My only reason for not giving the fifth star is the difficulty in holding the guitar. I had to tighten up the neck strap to it’s tightest in order to get a good fit. The hard case is phenomenal. Fits in the overhead on the plane, and can withstand being jostled while attached to my backpack for those multi-day expeditions into the wilds. For car camping, it’s just what i wanted for those trips when I take way to much stuff, and space in the Subaru is at a premium. Great Purchase!

Got this for my daughter for Christmas. We are very pleased with the sound, looks and the case. She likes the fret action also as others have said. Overall a great value in a portable guitar. It doesn’t fit the official airline size restrictions but she had no problem with it as a carry on.

got this for my son for his 15th birthday. He loves it but finds it a bit harder to tune than his full size guitars. Great product for the price!
