I have been playing in a place where I can only go through the house PA, and can't use my normal tube amp (a Blues Junior). The sound was flat and lifeless, so I bought the TM300. Well, after trying the different settings, I nailed a Fender clean tube tone and the difference in the sound is light years better. A great product at a great price.

I got this mainly to get a pre-amp sorta thing going, so I can just bring my pedal and some speakers wherever I want to play (much lighter than my amp!) and this things works great! I can't get a perfectly clean sound out of it like my amp (without turning the volume way up at least), but I do like the sound when I do have it mostly clean, I'm able to play loud without having my amp with me, or using my ultra metal distortion pedal and only having one choice of sound: distortion T_T

I also wanted to get this to play slightly lower distortion compared to my ultra metal pedal, however just by turning the knob a tiny bit it sounds just like the UM on really low distortion, and can also go to the same distortion level as the UM, which kinda renders my UM pedal a bit useless, unless I want to turn distortion on and off without having to mess with the knob on the TM300.

Overall a great pedal, has tons of settings (the hot gain setting is a bit too much for my bass, but I'm sure will sound great with a good guitar), and it will allow you to play wherever you want without an amp, since this is practically several amps in itself! (Minus speakers of course lol). Perfect for anybody's (cheap) pedal collection.

The Behringer tube amp modeling TM300 effects sound decent enough when the battery is very fresh, but too quickly starts giving feedback squeals and other unpleasant noises as the power decreases. The volume and other adjustment knobs are also a bit difficult. The price is good, but Digitech works better.

I paid only $29 and it is small and convenient. I was impressed with the sound.
At first I played it with my Line 6 15 watt amp. I didn't like it cause of the squealing. But then I read how you use it and all that. Boy! It worked great.

I use it with a Tascam US 100 USB plugin to my computer and I get a good sound for practice.

I still like my Line 6 amp though for more sounds and sustain. But this is a bargain and small.

You can use this with any USB audio interface.

If you like AC/DC you would like this. There are different amp sounds you can get.

Cheap and convenient I'am not disappointed.

My opinion is that it sounds best with a USB guitar audio device such as Tascams US 100.

I just purchased the TM 300 pedal because the overdrive in my amp fizzled out. I have been searching far and wide for a distortion sound that was thick and full and not tinny and just white noise. The TM 300 does a nice job. It has numerous ways to customize the sound that you want with 3 amp styles, 3 modifications, and 3 mic positions. It also has a basic EQ and you can adjust the amount of drive and the level as well. For as inexpensive as this pedal was ($25), it has almost exactly the sound that I was looking for. It may not sound like a MesaBoogie Tube Amp, but it sounds really nice and the distortion has a nice musical quality, but can also be cranked up for a screaming overdrive as well. All in all it's a great pedal for the money.
